Many of the families told us of saving the cats from dire situations. One kitten was being hit by neighborhood kids. One cat had been seen around the neighborhood for many months before the family could befriend her enough to catch her. In one case, it was the kitten doing the rescuing. A military family saved a kitty from the streets, but they were not going to keep her. The husband was not a cat person; he was willing to help her, but did not want keep her. While looking for a home for her, this stray kitty struck up a friendship with the veteran, who has PTSD. She brought him so much peace and comfort that they decided to keep her as part of their family. The family has two more stray cats they need help with and we are going to provide services to them.
