Beagle Mix, Daisy, 9yrs, 50lbs
Daisy is devoted to staying by my side except when she is at the front or back door windows, or lounging outside on the deck. Daisy is all DOG; she doesn’t mind going out in the rain or snow, and she enjoys doing the land-shark-wiggle to scratch her own back on the grass. She enjoys a neighborhood walk, and lets you know exactly when she thinks it’s DinnerTime, which she wishes were All the time. Daisy plays well with her adopted dog brother and their best friend neighbor dog, both of which are much smaller. She would like to catch small game like bunnies and squirrels, and possibly cats…unknown. Daisy is great in the house, in 8 years, only one accident. She is left free in the home with no problems, even for long days at work pre-COVID. She is not crate trained. Daisy is fit enough to play and zoom with her doggie friends, and pogo jumps up and down to go outside. But she is pretty laid back sleeping and window watching most of the day. In the evening she loves cuddling up on the couch with her humans. She is comfortable sleeping through the night on her dog bed either in the hallway near the bedrooms, on the floor beside the bed, or in the bed of one of the humans is away on business. She wants very close access if there is thunder approaching or present.
She wants to be near you and will shiver until the thunder (or low pressure system) is gone.
Daisy is a good guard, barking at the mailman and deliveries, and a bit too protective of her dog little brother. Three years ago, Daisy bit a 5 year old child who was jogging in our house. No blood, thanks to the jeans, and we assumed she was protecting from a perceived threat, but we have not trusted her with children or strangers since then. She has never made any aggressive postures, sounds or actions against anyone in our family. When we have workers or guests at our home we keep her secured. Daisy is relaxed and does not bark once the stranger is welcomed into our home, but we don’t take any chances. We have decided to place our dogs separately in hopes of eliminating Daisy’s mama-dog protectiveness, since they cannot accompany us on our out of the country transfer. Pam Pamela@emeraldahc.com

Booby needs a forever home

This is Bobby, we call him Bobby because he has no tail.  Bobby was born on our street to a community cat, we’ve been taking care of him since he was a kitten and even made a house for him on our porch.  During the super cold months of January we brought him and another community cat in to stay in the basement, Bobby has discovered that he really loves the indoor life, it was so much fun seeing him discover and play with cat toys for the first time! He gets along with our indoor cats very well and uses the litterbox with no problem.  He is afraid of dogs, mostly because he has been chased by them while living outside.  Bobby has kitten energy and is really playful, he gets along with other cats, not sure about children as he hasn’t been around them.

Juno is a 1 year old, 70lbs red nose pit bull, he’s very playful, a big baby and he loves outside, loves to play fetch, and tug of war and adores children. He rarely barks and is not aggressive in any manner. House broken, he has not previously lived with any other animals, but tends to get really playful when he is around them.  He is up to date with all vaccines and has been neutered as he is a family dog. Looking for someone to give him a lovely home, and all the belly rubs a dog can love.  Juno will go to an inside only home.

Deaf beauty needing new home

Picture
This is Punky! Punky is a one year old deaf pittie mix. She weighs in at about 45lbs and is very spry. She is house trained and almost crate trained. Punky loves her humans and loves to play with other pups outside of the house, but we think she may do best in a home where she is the only pet. She knows quite a few signs and is learning more every day. Her vocabulary includes sit, stay, lay, down, good girl, place, and a few others.

Punky lives to play - with toys, humans and other dogs. Her energy comes in spurts but then she loves to cuddle with her humans. She is just a sweetheart. She has a great personality and loves to make you laugh. She doesn't understand personal space yet so be ready for a literal lap dog.

She currently lives with her foster family in Hilliard, OH near Columbus. We just love her, but our other two rescues are not as big of fans. Punky has some separation anxiety that we're working with a trainer to overcome.

She is truly a great pup who just soaks in all of the training we are giving her. She goes to work with one of us daily and is an amazing office dog leading in her crate or playing on her own with her toys. We know the perfect family is out there for Punky and want to find that for her. If you're looking for a sweet cuddler that lives to play, the outdoors and walks, Punky is the perfect pup for you!
To learn more about Punky please email: Chris.Heller@becn.com
