Pet Food Pantries

Update May 14, 2018

Pet food banks can be found throughout Ohio. Their purpose is to help ensure that pets and free-roaming animals in our communities do not go hungry. They help pet parents keep their pets even during difficult financial times which many people are currently experiencing. They also help ensure that people do not have to share their own meals with their pets and sacrifice their own nutrition and hunger. Food banks are always looking for donations to keep their stock full. If you aren’t in need of help, perhaps you will think about offering help. The more help these organizations receive, the more animals they can help.

If your family is currently enrolled in a human food assistance program, check there first about potential pet food assistance. Some food banks offer pet food assistance as available to their current clients. It is also advised to contact your local animal shelter to see if they can help or have local resources to refer you to.
