taking treats, rescued from an abusive neighbor after I couldn’t
take it anymore, he deserves much better, I would love to keep
him but there is not enough space in my apartment with my two
other buddies

American Bulldog Saydee, female, 70lbs, 5yrs, calm, very sweet, that's the first thing you will notice about her, she just wants to be around people who will love her, knows sit, speak, shake, lay down, great w/ kids, cats, small dogs, gets nervous with big & high energy or high anxiety dogs, for such an affectionate girl she was sure given a raw deal, she was taken from an abuse situation, after numerous attempts to reach her adoptive family with no response, I witnessed the man who was supposed to be her protector close his fist and strike her twice in the face, I couldn't believe what I was seeing! I ran up to him screaming and took her from him, her lip was busted open at this point and pouring blood... what's worse is that she did nothing to provoke his violent attack and didn't even try to retaliate afterwards! She stayed on the ground and cowered... The ideal home for Saydee is a calm one. The BEST home would be where she was the only dog but like I said she does excellent with my 10lb mutt. I only suggest "only dog" because she doesn't play with my dog, she lets him crawl, bark and bite at her but she doesn't play with him, she doesn't require a lot of attention, she does great at home by herself while I'm at work, no one has ever complained of whining, barking or crying, she's happy as a clam the second I walk in the door, she's a great dog and anyone would be lucky to have her!
